Monday Mentions – Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table

Why mention Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table?

For today’s Monday Mention, I am going to do something slightly different. Today, I chose to highlight a book, "Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table: It’s Time to Win the Battle of Your Mind…". While I have mentioned Louie Giglio before, I wanted to take time to talk about his latest book. At the time of my first post, I had just started listening to his book. Since then, I have been deeply entrenched in each chapter.

Go Deeper

Typically, most books I read through in one pass. After I listen to a chapter, I rarely go back through the material again. One and done! This book is different.

I find myself wanting to buy the hardback edition to review this material in greater detail. I want to break out the highlighter, write in the margins type of study. It is not that the writing is overly complex, I just want to slow down to allow God to speak into these areas of my life.

Inviting God In

I believe that what Louie has shared in this book is gold! I believe if I invite God in, he will come and minister to these areas of my life. I believe there is a place at the table for God and I to have an intimate, one-on-one conversation. It is time I recognize where the Enemy is trying to intervene and protect this sacred space.

Check It Out

If you have not had the chance, I would encourage you to check out Louie’s book, "Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table: It’s Time to Win the Battle of Your Mind…." I am not going to make any promises, but I believe you will see more from me covering what I am learning from the content of this book, so stay tuned!
