Why Mention Seth Godin?
Seth Godin has been a mentor of mine for years. Maybe the best part is Seth doesn’t even know me. Through Seth’s books, blog, and podcast, my relationship is a brilliant example of an indirect mentoring relationship. For those unfamiliar, Seth Godin is known for his clever take on marketing, amongst other things. He’s been an inspiration to me long before I started writing.
He is the author of 20 bestselling books in 37 languages. These include Purple Cow, selling over 150,000 copies in the first two years. On November 13, 2015, his book, Linchpin, was named by Business Week among the "20 of the best books by the most influential thinkers in business." The list goes on, and on, and on.
Seth is a best-selling author, but he also blogs daily at seths.blog. Time named his blog among its 25 best blogs in 2009. He has appeared on too many podcasts for me to list. So I will direct you to Seth’s list of podcast appearances here.
